Karleny Ramos is the newly appointed Director of Marketing at the University at Albany, bringing her passion for creativity, student engagement, and strategic communication to the role. With a deep understanding of UAlbany’s student community, Karleny is dedicated to expanding awareness of the university’s resources and ensuring students have access to the opportunities that will help them thrive. As the Director of Marketing, she is responsible for shaping the university’s marketing strategies to enhance its visibility, strengthen its brand, and foster student engagement.
Beyond her marketing expertise, Leny has been an active leader on campus. She served as the Public Relations Chair for the AfroLatinx Student Association for two years and now proudly leads the organization as its President. Her commitment to fostering inclusivity and cultural representation has helped shape spaces for students to connect, and celebrate their identities.
When she’s not crafting marketing strategies, you can find Leny expressing herself through dance. She’s been a part of Fuego Intenso and MaddShotz Dance Team, bringing energy and rhythm to the UAlbany community. Whether she’s on stage or behind the scenes, Karleny’s passion for storytelling and engagement shines through in everything she does.
As the Director of Marketing, Karleny is excited to bridge the gap between students and the wealth of resources UAlbany has to offer. With her leadership, the university’s marketing efforts will not only inform but also inspire students to take full advantage of their college experience. Stay tuned—big things are on the way!

Chidi Aharaumunna

In her role as The Associate Director of Marketing and Programming for the UAlbany Student Association, Chidi Aharaumunna is responsible for spearheading innovative marketing strategies to enhance student engagement, event attendance, and campus visibility. She is committed to enhancing campus engagement by crafting compelling campaigns, increasing event visibility, and fostering meaningful connections between student organizations and the broader UAlbany community.
With a strong business analytics, economics, and communication background, Chidi brings expertise in digital marketing, brand development, and data-driven decision-making. As a key member of the Student Association’s leadership team, she continues to collaborate closely with students, faculty, and administration to enhance marketing initiatives and create a stronger, more connected campus community at UAlbany.
Beyond her work with the Student Association, Chidi has gained valuable experience in marketing and research through her roles as a student assistant of the SUNY Albany Alumni Association and the current Public Relations Chair of Sankofa Africa. She has a proven track record of leveraging data analytics to organize promotional events that increase student involvement.
